FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) is introduced under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Government of India manage all the food license registration. The main objective of FSSAI is to regulate and check for safe food manufacturing, storing, and handling practices by different Food Business Operators (FBOs). The license can be applied for a time period of minimum 1 year to maximum 5 years, it can again be renewed or re-applied under Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006.
